Mobile App Development in Turin for iOS and Android
Kineto Soft designs and builds custom mobile apps for companies and startups: one React Native codebase for iOS and Android, the backend that manages data and access, and a web dashboard for the people who run the service when needed. You work directly with the developer who builds the app, from analysis to store release.
The Three Parts of an App
A useful app has three parts: the interface on the phone, the backend that stores data, accounts and rules, and the tools to run the service. Kineto Soft builds them together, so the app, the APIs and the admin dashboard stay consistent.
One codebase for iOS and Android
With React Native and Expo, most of the code is shared between the two platforms. Platform-specific parts such as permissions, notifications or the camera are handled for each system.
A custom backend and API
Accounts, synchronization, photo and document uploads, push notifications. We build the backend with Python and FastAPI on PostgreSQL, with clear API contracts between app and server.
Admin dashboard and browser version
A dashboard for administrators and, where it makes sense, a web version of the app built from the same Expo project, for people who work at a computer.
What Kind of App Can We Build?
Some example project types, adapted to your company’s process and users.
Customer and booking apps
Bookings, order status, a private area and customer messages, connected to the systems you already use.
Apps for field teams
Checklists, photos, signatures and service reports filled in on the phone, even on a weak connection, and visible from the office.
Group and community apps
Shared spaces with tasks, reminders, expenses and notifications between the members of a group.
Internal company tools
Inventory, internal requests, approvals and reports in an app for employees only, with role-based permissions.
MVPs for startups
A focused first version to test the idea with real users, with an agreed scope and a codebase that can grow.
Apps with AI features
Photo analysis, summaries or built-in assistants, with processing on the server to keep costs, response times and data under control.
How We Work, from Idea to App Store
The project moves through agreed milestones, with test builds you can install on your own phone during development.
01 / Analysis and prototype
We define the users, the essential features and the main flows, and prepare clickable screens to check the experience before development starts.
02 / Development by milestone
App and backend grow together. At each milestone you receive a test build to install through Google Play testing tracks or Apple TestFlight.
03 / Store release
We prepare the builds, store listings, screenshots and privacy details required by the App Store and Google Play, and follow the review. The developer accounts are registered to your company.
04 / Maintenance and updates
Updates for new iOS and Android versions, fixes, new features and changes required by store policies.
Technology: React Native, Expo and a Python Backend
For most business apps, React Native with Expo is a good balance of quality, cost and maintenance: one project, simpler updates and access to the phone’s features.
- React Native and Expo. Native interfaces on iOS and Android from shared code, with builds and store submission handled through Expo Application Services.
- Notifications and device features. Push notifications, camera, photo library, location and sign-in with Google, using the permissions each system requires.
- Working on unreliable networks. Local storage and synchronization when the connection returns, for people working on site, in a warehouse or on the move.
- Multiple languages and GDPR. Multilingual interfaces and data handling designed around the GDPR, with data hosted in Europe when required.
The backend behind the app is described in more detail on our Python and FastAPI backend development page.
When Is a Native App the Better Choice?
Some projects work better with native Swift or Kotlin code: heavy 3D graphics, advanced augmented reality or very specific hardware integrations. When that is the case, we say so before development starts.
Apps Published by Kineto Soft
Flatmate and VeriClean are Kineto Soft products, built with React Native and Expo and published on Google Play. They show applied experience; they do not guarantee the same results for another project.
Flatmate
An app for shared homes: cleaning rotas, shared expenses and notifications between flatmates, with a FastAPI backend, a web version and an interface in six languages.
Flatmate on Google Play ↗VeriClean
An app for cleaning companies: shift checklists, room photos and quality verification with image analysis, on a FastAPI backend with Redis workers.
VeriClean on Google Play ↗Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to build an app?
It depends on the features, the number of screens, the integrations and the backend required. After the initial analysis we propose a scope with milestones and an estimate: there is no single price that fits every app.
How long does it take to build an app?
It depends on the scope. A focused MVP takes less time than an app with many roles and integrations. Timing is estimated per milestone after the analysis; store review adds time that is outside our control.
With React Native, is the app the same on iOS and Android?
The logic and most of the interface are shared. Some elements follow each system’s conventions, and permissions, notifications and in-app payments are configured for each platform.
Do you publish the app on the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. We prepare the builds and store listings and follow the review. The Apple and Google developer accounts should be registered to your company, so the app stays yours.
Does the app need a backend?
Almost always, if it manages accounts, shared data or notifications. We build the backend in Python and FastAPI, or connect the app to an existing system through its API.
Who owns the code?
Code ownership and repository access are set out in the contract. We use widely adopted, documented technologies, so another developer can continue the work.
Do you support the app after release?
Yes. Apple and Google release new system versions every year and update their store rules; maintenance keeps the app compatible and secure, alongside fixes and new features.
Have an Idea for an App?
Tell us who will use it, which problems it should solve and which systems it needs to connect to. We will propose a scope, the right technologies and a milestone-based estimate. You work directly with the developer who builds the app.
